Welcome to another edition of PROse, the B2B marketer's no BS guide to growing an engaged audience.

It's been a hectic week, so I'll keep this post simple.

(Don't worry, it's still going to be a banger)

Here are two pieces you absolute should check out.

1. Capital & Taste (Not Boring) - If I had to pick just one company I think B2B marketers should model, I'd pick Capital (fka Party Round). This breakdown of their business strategy from Packy will show you why.

"For a year and a half, Party Round went on an all-out assault on Twitter. Its drops were appointment viewing. It ran guerilla marketing campaigns in NYC, SF, and LA. It created NYC Tech Week out of thin air... And it worked. Without relying on paid acquisition, Party Round grew its list to 100,000 early-stage foundersĀ and investors. Prior to launching the Capital rebrand, Party Round had supported 300+ companies in raising millions of dollars, and built up a 50k+ founder waitlist for the product."

    2. Twitter Subscriptions (@patticus) - A deep dive into how Twitter could monetize subscriptions. There are some particularly interesting points about features and prices that might help turn Twitter into a viable growth channel for businesses.

Side note: This is a really good thread on so many levels: a) it's data-backed b) yet digestible c) and written in Patrick's own voice. When I first read it, I couldn't figure out if I like it more because of the content or because he followed every Twitter thread best practice.

And it couldn't come at a better time. This week 4 or 5 people asked what I thought about Twitter's plan to charge $8/mo. Hopefully Elon and co gives Patrick's thread a read.

    Aaaaaand, that's it.

    See you next week! āœŒšŸ¾
