5 B2B brands you should be following on Twitter

Welcome to another edition of PROse, the B2B marketer's no BS guide to growing an engaged audience.

I hope you've had a great holiday! 🎄

Hopefully you have a chance to relax a bit this week.

In the spirit of that, this letter will be pretty brief.

If you want to take your social strategy to the next level, study these 5 brands' Twitter (in no particular order):

Capital (formerly known as Party Round) gets what it means to build a community. Early on they focused on being tastemakers.

And it shows. They're world class at shipping products, building hype around launches and just creating a product people love.

Every B2B brand account has become a meme account... thanks to Triple Whale.

If you want to understand how to make good memes, don't just follow them. Turn on their post notifications (and read this). No one does it better.

If you've got a multiplayer tool, or otherwise have a services ecosystem tied around your tool, you should study Notion.

They're very product heavy because they have a large community and are pretty well known in the space. But they're not just

4. Linear

Linear is another one that's has a product-heavy content strategy. But their design skills really make them stand out.

Honestly, that's it. Linear proves that good aesthetics (in product & in content) can build a massive and engaged community.

I'll admit. I like Old Shopify better than New Shopify.

I love them because they're a B2B SaaS company, but they market like a consumer brand (which is appropriate given they're in the commerce space). If you really want to see them at their best, look at their top tweets from early 2022 and 2021.

Annnnd, that's it!

Hopefully you find something in one of those accounts that'll help set you up for success in 2023. Let me know if you do!

Wait! Before you go...

This last week of the year feels so weird.

Some people are working. Some people aren't.

I'm mostly working, but I'm taking off tomorrow.

Wondering if I should do a real break next year.

Curious to hear: what do you do during the last week of December?
